"MOVE OVER LONESOME" BY PATRICK B RAY - NOW AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE
Patrick B Ray just released his first original song “Move Over Lonesome” on Spotify and other streaming platforms. Like oh so many country songs, this song is inspired by a woman leaving. But rather than being about the woman herself, this song is about the loneliness that sets in and deciding to move on by kicking “Lonesome” to the curb.
Patrick enlisted Gus Alvarado (The Broken Spokes & Western Bling) on drums and Cody Angel on Steel Guitar to make this song come to life. Vocals, guitar, and bass are done by Patrick himself.
Written' to be a honky tonkin’ tune you can two-step to Patrick focused on upbeat energy, crisp vocals, and telling a story that we can all relate to.
LYRICS
Move over lonesome
I'm coming through
I'm gonna live my own life, yeah I've got better things to do
Than to sit here crying
Til the cows come home
Gonna pick myself back up yeah lonesome leave me alone
Didn't see you coming
From a mile away
You just snuck up on me and said that you'd like to stay
While she was stepping out I had nothing to lose
Soon as she packed up lonesome moved in with the blues
Move over lonesome
I'm coming through
I'm gonna live my own life, yeah I've got better things to do
Than to sit here crying
Til the cows come home
Gonna pick myself back up yeah lonesome leave me alone
Well I took the liberty
Of packing up your things
You're gonna find 'em all out front, I sure hope it ain't gonna rain
Don't bother calling
When you get where you're going I don't care if it's rain or shine or God forbid it starts snowing
Move over lonesome
I'm coming through
I'm gonna live my own life, yeah I've got better things to do
Than to sit here crying
Til the cows come home
Gonna pick myself back up yeah lonesome leave me alone
Gonna pick myself back up yeah lonesome leave me alone
Gonna pick myself back up yeah lonesome leave me alone
